Sectional girls hoops
Horace Greeley's girls basketball squad had the same thoughts as Fox Lane's boys and that was to get to the Final Four.
The problem was it was going up against Ossining, who boasts of one of the best players in the country in Saniya Chong not to mention an outstanding group of teammates that compliments her very well.
Horace Greeley traveled to Ossining Feb. 21 and gave it its all in a Section 1 Class AA quarterfinal, but fell 82-47.
Leading Greeley was Jackie Brett's 14 points with teammate Sam Srinivasan contributing 10 points.
