Foxes' Season Ends at States: Daily Sports Digest June 11

Girls Lax

Section 1 champion Fox Lane's incredible season came to an end Friday afternoon as it lost in the Class B state semifinals to Section 5 champ Canandaigua 18-8 at SUNY-Cortland according to this story done by Chris Perez on LoHud.com.

Sammy Jo Tracy scored four goals to lead Fox Lane in her final game for the Foxes before heading off to the University of North Carolina, where she will continue her lacrosse career.

Kailey O'Hagan contributed three goals to the Foxes' cause.

Girls Hoops 

The Girls Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY) Team will hold tryouts from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12 at Ossining High School according to the LoHud Girls Basketball Blog.

Any girl who played in Section 1 this past season and is eligible to play high school basketball this winter is allowed to try out for the squad.
