Gold Medal for Horace Greeley High School: New National Rankings

Horace Greeley High School got a Gold Medal from US News and World Report in its new list of the nation's high schools.

Greeley ranked No. 70 among high schools in New York. The school in the Chappaqua Central School District was also nationally ranked, at No. 157. And it was listed at No. 31 in the magazine's STEM ranking.

It got a "college readiness" score of 74.9 out of 100 -- because of the high rate at which Greeley students take and pass the Advanced Placement exams: a 79 percent test rate with a 73 percent pass rate, the magazine reported.
