Great Chappaqua Bake Sale Will Fund 250,000 Meals for Needy New York Kids

The fifth annual GCBS surpassed its fundraising goal.

From the Great Chappaqua Bake Sale

What a wonderful day yesterday! Our community rallied together to fight childhood hunger and we are thrilled to announce The 5th Annual Great Chappaqua Bake Sake (GCBS) surpassed its fundraising goal and will donate more than $25,000 (and counting) to Share Our Strength and No Kid Hungry’s fight to end childhood hunger. The monies raised will fund more than 250,000 meals for needy children in New York State.

This incredible result is thanks to so many businesses, individuals, friends and children. From the bottom of our hearts we thank:

- Dawn Greenberg, Madeline Finesmith and the Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival team for their support and dedication
- The 100+ businesses who donated goods and services to the Great Chappaqua Bake Sale Raffle

- The 90+ families and local bakeries who baked treats and packaged them with such care – they were beautiful!

- All of the volunteers and children who enthusiastically manned their shifts throughout the day and all who helped post flyers and spread the word about GCBS
- All of the children in the Chappaqua Ridge neighborhood who made beautiful beaded bracelets to sell

- Helen Perelman for her support and reading
