Greeley Barber Owner Honored at Milestones
Owner Tony Ciccone recently marked 50 years living in the United States, 40 years in business.

Making a move to a new country is not easy, but owner Tony Ciccone has put down roots in America and become a community fixture in Chappaqua.
Ciccone recently marked 50 years since he immigrated to the United States from Italy. When he first came to this country in 1961, he was getting the hang of things, including learning a new language.
Originally, he lived in Mount Kisco, then moved to Chappaqua. Over time, he married his wife, Jean, who has her own roots in the hamlet, and sent two sons through the schools. At 74, he is now a grandfather of four.

"I'm very proud to be here in Chappaqua," Ciccone said.
Ciccone has marked another big milestone, with 40 years since he took ownership of his business, in 1971. The barber shop has been in business for 70 years in total.

Recently, Ciccone was honored by state Assemblyman Robert Castelli for his longevity and success, getting an assembly proclaimation.
“Tony is the epitome of the Horatio Alger story, and has achieved the American dream through his hard work and dedication to his craft,” Castelli said in a press release. “His success is a prime example of what can be accomplished in America if one works hard and follows their dream.”
