Lombardi reaches milestone

Fox Lane's Allison Lombardi is a highly multi-talented athlete so her reaching a milestone like 1,000-career points really isn't much a surprise.

But it is still a tremendous accomplishment regardless, one which she achieved on Jan. 18 in a 57-34 home victory against Harrison.

Lombardi, who scored a game-high 23 points, reached the elusive plateau when she drained a 3-pointer on the opening play of the second quarter.

That trey allowed Lombardi to become the first Fox Lane girls hoop player to reach that mark.

Lombardi also showed she can do more than score, as she set up her teammates with five assists and played excellent defense with four steals.

Lombardi's teammates Olivia Aziak, Julia Raue, and Jessica Wayda recorded eight points apiece.

See Yaron Weitzman's post on the LoHud Girls Basketball Blog for more scores.

Trio leads Foxes

Dylan Peretz registered 12 points, Will Trawick recorded 11 points and 12 rebounds and Ben Korren tallied 11 points in Fox Lane's 47-26 victory against visiting Blind Brook Jan. 17.
