Horace Greeley's boys swimming squad has enjoyed an outstanding winter and it continued when it won the Section 1 crown at Felix Festa Middle School in West Nyack on Feb. 15.
Fox Lane also competed and did well, placing eighth out of 23 teams.

Girls sectional hoops
Allison Lombardi was on fire as she led Fox Lane with 21 points, including the game-tying foul shot with a minute remaining in the fourth quarter, in the Foxes' thrilling 48-38 OT triumph Feb. 15 against visiting Mamaroneck in a Class AA outbracket game.
Teammate Julia Raue was also oustanding, contributing to the win with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Fox Lane will play at No. 2 Arlington in an opening-round matchup today at 5 p.m.

Ice-hockey playoffs
No. 7 Horace Greeley will host No. 10 Hendrick Hudson in the opening round of the Division 2 ice-hockey playoffs at Brewster Ice Arena 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20.
