Gruesome Halloween Fun For The Family This Weekend In Chappaqua

Ragamuffins will parade, "little maestros" will rattle their bones, puppets will torment with laughter, bubbles will delight and vanish.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — There are few better places to celebrate Halloween than among the Hudson Valley woodlands that inspired some of history's most haunting tales of terror.

On Saturday, Oct. 22, the Town of New Castle will be holding its Little Maestros Happy Halloween Music Show to kick off the 2022/2023 Children's Series at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center. Little Maestros are known for their catchy, original musical shows, funny puppets and "bubble music." Wear your costume to the show. Admission is free. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the show starts at 11:00 a.m. Seating is limited so be sure to send an email to this address to let them know you plan to attend.

On Sunday, Oct. 23, New Castle Recreation & Parks will be holding its "spooktacular" Ragamuffin Halloween Parade, at the Chappaqua train station. It all kicks off at 12:30 p.m. with lineup at Pizza Station. The parade will then start at 1 p.m. Activities, including art projects by Korth and Shanahan and Scattered Books, will take place up until 5 p.m. There will be inflatables, music, food and much more fun. The rain date will be Oct. 30.
