Hillary Clinton Votes Tuesday in Hometown of Chappaqua

The former secretary of state and her husband, the former president, worked their way through the crowd before voting.

CHAPPAQUA, NY — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, voted in their hometown of Chappaqua Tuesday after wrapping up campaign stops in Philadelphia and Raleigh, North Carolina, Monday night.

The Clintons arrived at Douglas Grafflin Elementary School around 8 a.m. to cast their ballots, according to the Journal News.

Cheers erupted as the former secretary of state waved to the crowd.

News12 footage showed the Clintons working their way through people at the polling site, shaking hands and greeting well-wishers who were holding cell phones in the air, trying to capture the moment.

Hillary Clinton told the New York Times that it was a “humbling feeling” voting for herself.

Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump was greeted with boos as he arrived at his polling place Tuesday morning.

According to information on the Clinton campaign website, Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Kaine and his wife, Anne Holton, voted this morning in Richmond, Virginia.

The Hillary for American Election Night Event will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City Tuesday night. The campaign said the gates will open at 6 p.m.
