CHAPPAQUA, NY — This year's valedictorians and salutatorians in the Chappaqua school district are an extraordinary group of young people. Patch asked them to answer a few questions about their high school experience and what they look forward to in the future.

Today, meet Danielle Tomer.

1. What will you miss most about high school?

I will miss the Greeley community. I will miss my friends, with whom I've made so many memories, and the teachers, who helped and encouraged me throughout high school.

2. What are you looking forward to in moving on to college?

I am looking forward to making new friends, exploring new areas of studies, and having greater freedom.

3. What was your favorite high school class?

AP Chemistry was my favorite class. Our teacher was amazing and he made chemistry so much fun and interesting.

4. What clubs or extra-curricular activities were you involved in?

I have been continuously involved in mock trial, science research, playing piano, and the Northern Westchester Hospital Junior Leadership Council.

5. What advice would you give to underclassmen?

Always try your best, learn from your teachers and your friends, be open-minded, and maintain a positive attitude no matter what challenges you might face.

6. Any teachers/staff who stood out throughout your journey?

Every teacher I had was wonderful. I especially liked my chemistry teacher Dr. Prignano, my English teacher Ms. Keener, and my science research teacher Dr. Gessler.

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I am undecided and open to different opportunities, but possibly training as a young physician.

8. Tell us a fun fact about you.

I have an adorable dog named Ruby, and she's a puggle: a mix of a pug and a beagle.
