Kennel Clubs Donate to Clarkstown's K9 Program

The town has three police dogs.

The Rockland County Kennel Club and the Wallkill Kennel Club have donated $2,000 to the Clarkstown Police Department for its K9 program.

“Their support allows us to put these magnificent animals into service for the people of Clarkstown and Rockland County” said Clarkstown Police Chief Michael Sullivan on Facebook.

The newest member of the K9 squad, Remy, was named in memory of Welles Remy Crowther, “The Man in the Red Bandana” who died on 9/11 saving co-workers and strangers trapped in the South Tower. The Clarkstown Police are grateful to the Crowther family.
