KG&D Architects to Help Expand Guiding Eyes for the Blind Kennels

KG&D Architects has begun working with Guiding Eyes to expand their resources and help enrich the lives of the guiding dogs and clients.

KG&D Architects, PC, a full-service Mount Kisco, NY-based architectural firm, has recently begun working with Guiding Eyes to expand their resources and help enrich the lives of the organization’s guiding dogs and clients by architecturally renovating the Whelping Kennels at the Canine Development Center in Patterson, NY.

Using innovative strategies, KG&D plans to expand and reconfigure the Whelping Kennels, demolish and reconstruct the existing administrative offices, renovate the hospital and puppy training offices, and create a new breeding kennel, YPA pavilion and office space. This project will effectively enhance the space for Guiding Eyes and allow the nonprofit to continue to grow. It is expected that construction will be completed in the fall.

Guiding Eyes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides superbly bred and trained guide dogs to men and women who are blind or visually impaired. Dogs not suited for guide work may become service dogs for children on the autism spectrum. All Guiding Eyes dogs expand horizons for people to achieve life’s goals.
