Magazine Honor for Mount Kisco Woman
MKMG executive Leslie Jackson was recognized by 914INC.
The Mount Kisco Medical Group’s Senior Director of Operations and Chief Nursing Officer, Leslie Jackson, was recently honored with a “Women in Business – Executive” award by 914INC Magazine.
Every year, 914INC Magazine recognizes the women who have either worked for, or started, a local, successful business in Westchester County. As a local business publication, 914INC. seeks to honor the success of these women and the people who support them.
Officials at MKMG, a multi-specialty practice serving Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Columbia and Ulster Counties in New York, said they were proud of Jackson.

Ms. Jackson has been an integral member of the MKMG management team since 1995. She has made many significant contributions over the last 20 years. She was a Lead Project Manager for the expansion of MKMG into Dutchess County, coordinating the opening of two multi-specialty offices in Fishkill and Poughkeepsie, and managed the opening of the new Jefferson Valley multi-specialty office in Westchester County, which opened July 2014. Her responsibilities include collaboration on architectural design, interior design, and construction, as well as organizing the allocation of space, equipment and staffing to meet the operational needs.
In 2014, Ms. Jackson was appointed to the position of Senior Director of Operations and Chief Nursing Officer, making her responsible for all clinical and service operations throughout MKMG. Her role also encompasses the oversight of the Marketing Department, Contact Center, Medical Records, and Care Coordination. In addition, she is responsible for oversight of the Advanced Practitioner program, comprised of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, midwives and audiologists. Ms. Jackson has been integral in growing this program to over 80 advanced healthcare practitioners. Ms. Jackson oversees a team of three Divisional Patient Care Managers and 21 Patient Care Mangers, responsible for day to day operations in 30 locations.

In addition to opening up these three main campuses, Ms. Jackson was also a project leader for the opening of three Urgent Care Centers in Carmel, Yorktown, and Mount Kisco making MKMG services available to patients on a walk-in basis, 365 days per year. Ms. Jackson was an integral member of the project team for two major Electronic Health Record and Practice Management conversions, going from Practice Partner to Misys, and most recently from Misys to NextGen in 2011. Ms. Jackson coordinated the opening of MKMG’s Contact Center, currently staffed with 16 agents and continuing to take on additional services. Ms. Jackson and her team also initiated the newautomated call reminder service, Patient Prompt. Ms. Jackson was responsible for the development and implementation of MKMG’s patient-centered Care Coordination program. Ms. Jackson continues to participate in strategic planning and initiating new services and new practices for MKMG.
Ms. Jackson oversees educational programs at MKMG and has collaborated with local universities such as Pace University, Mount Saint Mary College, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and New York Medical College to provide clinical education opportunities to Medical Students and Nurse Practitioner students. In addition, Ms. Jackson serves on the selection committee of the local Lion Clubs who provide an annual nursing scholarship open to employees of Northern Westchester Hospital and MKMG.
“It’s a great honor to be named a ‘Woman in Business 2015’ by 914INC Magazine and to join this network of amazing businesswomen,” Jackson said in a prepared statement. “Throughout my career at MKMG, it has always been my goal to help expand the group’s reach to provide high quality care to even more communities.”
Jackson attended Pace University’s Lienhard School of Nursing and spent 10 years working in the Emergency Department at Northern Westchester Hospital before joining MKMG in 1995. She lives in Mount Kisco and is a member of the Shelter Angel Program at the SPCA of Westchester.
