Man Offered Woman A Ride, Then Tried To Kidnap Her
When she refused twice, he pointed a gun at her and demanded she get in the car.

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Kyle Gregg of Cortlandt pleaded guilty Wednesday to attempted kidnapping, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced. The victim was a woman walking on Route 117 in Mount Kisco in January.
Judge David Zuckerman accepted a guilty plea on Attempted Kidnapping in the Second Degree, a class C felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C felony.
Gregg, 23, was originally charged with Attempted Kidnapping 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon With a Defaced Serial Number 3rd Degree; felonies; and Menacing 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor.

The attempted kidnapping took place at 11:35 p.m. Jan. 5, when the woman was walking south on North Bedford Road. A vehicle pulled up alongside. The driver offered her a ride and she refused.
A short time later, further south on North Bedford Road, the vehicle stopped next to the woman again and this time the driver demanded she get in the car. When she refused, the driver pointed a handgun at her and again demanded she get in.

She ran away and the driver fled.
Westchester County Police detectives determined the suspect vehicle had out-of-state plates and was possibly a rental car. Through further investigation, detectives were able to identify the driver.
At 4:30 p.m. Jan. 7, a deputy sheriff from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department saw the suspect car and made a traffic stop. Gregg was arrested later by Westchester County Police. A loaded .22-
caliber handgun was recovered during the arrest.
Assistant District Attorneys Jonathan Strongin, Deputy Chief of the Career Criminal Bureau, and Lauren Abinanti, both of the Superior Court Trial Division are prosecuting the case.
Gregg is scheduled for sentencing June 12.
