MHA WESTCHESTER Will Honor Chappaqua's Grace Bennett at Fall Benefit

Grace Bennett will receive MHA's Media Award on Friday evening, October 23, 2015.

The Mental Health Association of Westchester (MHA) is pleased to announce that Inside Chappaqua/Inside Armonk Magazines and Grace Bennett will receive the MHA Media Award at our upcoming October benefit. As Publisher and Editor, Ms. Bennett, a Chappaqua resident, has spearheaded responsible and sensitive reporting on topics related to mental health, helping to shatter myths and providing beneficial education to our community.

Ms. Bennett will be presented with the award during the event, “Imagine, An Evening of Celebration” on Friday, October 23rd at 7 pm at the CV Rich Mansion in White Plains, NY. Co-chairs Lili Lynton and Michael Lynton invite you to an inspiring evening of cocktails, dinner, a silent auction—as well as the awards presentation. Proceeds from this event directly support the recovery driven services that MHA provides in our region.

MHA will also honor these extraordinary individuals who all, like Ms. Bennett, are tireless advocates for mental health in our community and who have demonstrated dedicated and inspiring leadership:

Marion Lynton will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously. She is remembered for her lifelong passion and advocacy for improved mental health programs and services. As a psychologist and an esteemed member of MHA Westchester’s Board of Directors for 26 years, her work helped to change the lives of tens of thousands of individuals and families affected by mental health issues.

Accepting the award will be Marion’s children (and benefit co-chairs), Lili Lynton, co-founder and operating partner of The Dinex Group, which operates 17 Daniel Boulud branded restaurants and Michael Lynton, Chief Executive Officer of Sony Entertainment and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Bernadette Kingham-Bez will be recognized with the MHA on the move Award. Executive Director of Saint Vincent’s Hospital Westchester and Senior Vice President of Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, Ms. Kingham-Bez has provided visionary and transformative leadership in both hospital and community-based behavioral healthcare.

Yoga teacher Nancy Kardon will receive the MHA Spirit Award for her years-long volunteer commitment to sharing her deep knowledge of yoga and its practical applications to members of MHA’s Sterling Community Center.
