Miyabi, Asian Fusion Place, Opens in Pleasantville

A new Asian fusion restaurant has opened next door in Pleasantville. After months of construction, has opened its doors at 25 Wheeler Ave.

The place has a large Grand Opening sign out front and is taking orders, though there are still some decorating to do indoors, employees said Thursday.

The eatery is Bedford resident Andy Lin's third Westchester County restaurant—he also owns Hibachi Bar & Lounge and  in White Plains.

The Pleasantville space features a full bar and sushi bar, as well as table and booth seating for lunch and dinner.

Here's a preview at what's on the menu:

Soups ($2.25—$4.95): Miso, Thai Curry, Lemongrass Coconut

Salads ($4.25—$9.95): Avacado, Vietnamese, Kani

Kitchen Appetizers ($4.75—$8.95): Shumai, Harumaki, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Thai Crab Cake

Sushi Bar Appetizers ($8.95—$12.95): Lobster Taco, Spicy Tuna Avocado Tartar, Kumamoto Oyster

Sushi Entrees ($14.95-$40.95), served with soup or house salad: Sushi or Sashimi Dinner, Chirashi, Tekka Don, Sushi for Two

Special House Rolls ($11.95—$13.95): Tropical Roll (shrimp tempura, cucumber, spicy tuna, crunch & masago with spicy creamy sauce), Paradise Roll (spicy lobster, shrimp tempura, fried banana, soybean nori with yuzu mango sauce), Pleasantville roll (tuna, yellowtail and avacodo with salmon and yellowtail on top)

Wok & Grill ($18.95—$23.95): Wok Basil Shrimp & Scallops, Sambal Delight, Thai Seafood Casserole

Also on the menu—Southeast Asian dishes that allow you to choose a sauce and pair it with a protein; a variety of noodles and rice paired with protein; steamed food options; lunch specials served Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Miyabi replaces Jackson & Wheeler Restaurant and fills what was a prominent vacancy in Pleasantville's downtown.

Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Dinner is served from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday and to 11 p.m. on Saturday. Miyabi is open from 1 to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
