New Castle Dems Interviewing Candidates for Town Elections This Fall

It's an off-year.

The New Castle Democratic Committee is interviewing candidates for the November 2015 election for New Castle Town Supervisor and two Town Board seats.

“We have identified several potential candidates with whom we are talking, but we always are looking for new people to get involved and bring new strengths to our Town government,” said Jane Silverman, the chair of the Nominations and Dandidate Development Committee.

This is an off-year election, which coincides with Westchester County elections but not with any federal or state general election.

Although the Board of Elections has not fixed the dates yet, petitions for Town Supervisor and Town Board candidates are expected to be circulated in June and July for filing with the County Board of Elections early in July, Silverman said. The election is Nov. 3.
