New Castle to Hold Community Gathering in Wake of Dallas Killings

The ceremony will feature community and religious leaders.

Chappaqua, NY — The Town of New Castle will hold “A Community Gathering in a Time of Grief and Sadness” at 6 p.m. Monday, July 11.

New Castle Supervisory Rob Greenstein said the gathering, which will be held at the Gazebo in downtown Chappaqua, will be a time to mourn the loss of life in Dallas last week.

“Americans of all races and all backgrounds are outraged by police misconduct,” he said. “It’s unacceptable. When one of us is victimized we all suffer.”

“Americans of all races and all backrounds are also outraged when police officers sworn to uphold the law, protecting those who want to exercise their right to free speech are murdered,” Greenstein said.

Members of the New Castle police force will be on hand at the ceremony, he said.
