New York State Police Alert Public to Burglary Suspect Wanted

New York State Police were searching for a burglary suspect Saturday after a high speed chase on the Taconic State Parkway led to a manhunt in Chappaqua. The suspect is wanted on an out of state arrest warrant, New Castle Police reported.

Police used aviation and bloodhounds to search the Campfire Road and Cabin Ridge Road areas for a white male, 5’8,” wearing a black tee shirt and camouflage shorts. Police asked residents in those areas to lock their doors and report any suspicious persons to police by calling 9-1-1.

State Police said Sunday that new information leads police to believe yesterday’s wanted person is no longer in New Castle. New York State Police say he was sighted elsewhere but are asking the public to "maintain a vigilant attitude while out and about today."
