New Electric Car Charging Station in Chappaqua

It has been installed at the train station.

In Westchester County, new EV charging stations have been installed in the parking lots at the Chappaqua and Tarrytown train stations and at Cortlandt Town Hall.

The number of electric vehicles in New York has risen to more than 10,000 plug-in vehicles today from 1,000 in early 2012. New York State is encouraging the use of electric vehicles (EV) through Governor Cuomo’s Charge NY.

Charge NY aims to install up to 3,000 public and workplace EV charging stations by 2018.

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) are helping the state lead the charge on EV charging station infrastructure and will also be joining seven other states as part of the Multi-State Zero-Emission Vehicle Action Plan, which calls for 3.3 million zero-emission cars on U.S.
