HAWTHORNE, NY – December 4, 2013 - The Trustees of the New York State ARC (NYSARC) Trusts provided a $6,000 grant to provide new recreational opportunities for Arc of Westchester program participants.
The Chapter will use this grant to offset expenses of Arc’s 1st Annual Gateway Gala for individuals 18 to 24 held in April. Over 45 young men and women enjoyed a semi-formal dinner buffet and dance. A photo booth was set up and individuals went home with professional portraits of their fun evening. A parquet floor was installed for lively dancing.
The funds from this grant were also used to offset expenses at Arc of Westchester's 26th Annual Spring Ball, a semiformal dinner dance held at the Westchester Marriott Hotel in April for about 450 participants and staff. Funds were used for two professional photo booths and individuals went home with a framed memento of the night.
