Pets Alive Sets Adoption Record [PHOTOS]

Despite at day one of the Mount Kisco Sidewalk Sales, Pets Alive was able to thrive Saturday, turning into a temporary pets adoption center for the weekend.

Saturday was also a record for adoptions in a single day, the organization announced. Twenty-two dogs (including 17 from Mount Kisco), plus five cats, were adopted, Pets Alive announced through its Twitter account.

The group, which has locations in Elmsford and Middletown, NY, came to Mount Kisco due to the support of Daniele Churchill, who owns Pets Alive was able to use the storefront after Churchill's landlord - who also owns it - agreed.

Pets Alive also got a major guest: singer and Bedford resident Rob Thomas, who sits on the group's board.
