Photos: Opening Day for Mt. Kisco Little League
Kids marched to Leonard Park for the start of the season.
Mount Kisco Little League kicked off its spring season on Saturday morning with its annual parade, in which kids and parents marched down Main Street and stopped at the baseball diamond at Leonard Park. The larger gathering included a singing of the national anthem and Mayor Michael Cindrich throwing the cermonial first pitch.
The teams, for kids ages 9-12, are sponsored by local businesses, said Ed Reilly, who is the little league president. There were hundreds who turned out, he estimated. The kids will play against each other for the spring season, which runs until June.
