Rapist Whose Victim Called Mom Was Sex Trafficker
The New Castle man was sentenced twice in a week, in federal court for sex trafficking and in Westchester for a rape that led to his arrest.
MILLWOOD, NY — A 41-year-old New Castle sex trafficker who pimped three teenagers around the metro area — and was sentenced Friday to 19.5 years in a federal prison for that crime — was sentenced Wednesday to four years in state prison for the rape of a different teenage girl last June.
Victor Gonzalez ran his sex-trafficking operation for at least four years. He solicited the girls, one 14-15, one 15-16 and one 17, to have sex with him, said Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. After establishing a relationship, he marketed them online and transported them to have sex with men in New York and Connecticut who answered his ads. He made a porn video with the youngest.
On June 21, 2018, New Castle police received a phone call about a missing 16-year-old. The teen had sent a text message to her mother asking for help. She did not know where she was, but her mom gave the cops a location from the “Find My I-Phone” application. Searching there, they found her hiding in the bushes, disheveled and upset.

She reported to the police that she met Gonzalez on the internet and agreed to meet him in person in White Plains. When she got off the train, he took her to his apartment in New Castle. The victim remembered waking up there with him on top of her engaging in sexual intercourse.
When Gonzalez used the bathroom, the girl fled and called her mom. Shortly thereafter, New Castle police arrested him.

Gonzalez had had various run-ins with law enforcement since 2007. Information found at his apartment during the rape investigation was pertinent to the federal investigation. He pleaded guilty to the local rape charge in January.
In addition to up to 23 years in federal and state prison, with sentences to be served consecutively, he will receive 10 years’ post-release supervision, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced. Gonzalez will have to register as a sex offender. An order of protection was also issued on behalf of the victim.
