UPDATE: Road Work on I-684, Find Alternate Route Saturday

2 Lanes will be closed from Exit 8 to Exit 3 southbound.

Construction work including pothole repair will cause delays on I-684 from Armonk to the Westchester County line, according to NY511.com

Today:

  • Construction, roadwork on I-684 both directions between Exit 5 - Saw Mill River Parkway (NB Entrance Ramp / SB Exit Ramp) (Bedford) and Exit 6 - NY 35 - Katonah - Cross River (Bedford) left lane closures until 4:00 P.M.
  • Construction, pothole repair on I-684 both directions between Exit 3 S/N - NY 22 - Bedford - Armonk (North Castle) and Exit 7 - State Highway 116 - Purdys - Somers (Northbound Exit Ramp / Southbound Entrance Ramp) (North Salem) various lane closures until 2:30 P.M. This is a moving operation. thru Friday April 24

  • Roadwork on I-684 both directions between Exit 6 - NY 35 - Katonah - Cross River (Bedford) and Exit 6A - NY 22 to NY 138 - Goldens Bridge (Northbound Exit Ramp) (Lewisboro) , Friday April 24th, 2015, 10:00 AM thru 04:00 PM, left lane closures, Monday April 27th, 2015, 10:00 AM thru 04:00 PM, left lane closures

Begins April 25:

  • The New York State Department of Transportation will be closing the left and center lanes on Interstate 684 southbound, between Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) and Exit 3 (Route 22) in Westchester County, for maintenance activities. Weather permitting, the closures are scheduled for Saturday, April 25 between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.

The DOT says:

Motorists are reminded to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
