Roaring Brook Crossing Targeted In National Enforcement Tuesday
New Castle police are taking part in a nationwide effort to educate drivers about railroad crossings.
CHAPPAQUA, NY — Look for New Castle police officers on Roaring Brook Road Tuesday afternoon. They'll be taking part in a national effort called Operation Clear Track.
Its purpose: to educate drivers about safety on at-grade railroad crossings. Roaring Brook Road is a constant source of concern to town officials: they've even asked state and federal government to build a bridge over the Saw Mill River Parkway there.
