Saw Mill Parkway Closures Begin Sunday
Reconstructing bridges in Pleasantville will close the road week nights, through June.
Beginning April 10, and ending the morning of Friday, July 1, bridge construction activities are expected to result in weeknight closures of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Pleasantville.
The road will be closed between Exit 27 (Marble Avenue) and Exit 30 (Grant Street), Sundays through Thursdays, state transportation officials said.
The left lane in both northbound and southbound directions is anticipated to close at 8 p.m. each night. A full closure of this portion of the northbound and southbound Parkway is expected to begin at 9 p.m. and end at 6 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour, and expect delays.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.
Remember: fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
