Snow Today, Frigid Tomorrow

A storm known as an Alberta Clipper is spreading a swath of light to moderate snow from the northern Plains to the mid-Atlantic coast. Any snow that initially melts as it falls during the storm will freeze as temperatures plummet. Icy travel may result, said Accuweather meteorologists.

Snow accumulation could be about an inch, according to the National Weather Service.

Behind the Alberta Clipper: very low temperatures.

The National Weather Service said the low overnight Wednesday will be 0 in Mount Kisco, and the wind-chill values will be -10 to -20.

Thursday’s low will be more like Tuesday’s low -- in the teens.
