Tar Sands Teach In Set for Mount Kisco on September 21st

On September 21st, over 150 actions across the country will draw attention to President Obama's upcoming decision on the massive Keystone XL pipeline. 350.org, an international environmental organization founded by author and environmentalist Bill Mc Kibben.

Local environmentalists  are organizing an afternoon dedicated to creating awareness of the global climate catastrophe and the importance of stopping the Keystone XL pipeline. Join us and learn more about the Canadian tar sands and how they impact our water, our weather and the future of life on this planet. 

Thousands of concerned citizens have signed petitions and made phone calls about stopping tar sands and other forms of extreme energy extraction such as fracking. This teach-in will discuss other actions that can be done to help stop the tar sands close to home.
