They estimated that as of 2012, there at least 8.3 million businesses owned by women in the US. These businesses generate revenue of close to $1.3 trillion and they employ 7.7 million employees. This study found that: The growth in the number (up 54 percent), employment (up 9 percent) and revenues (up 58 percent) of women-owned firms over the past 15 years exceeds the growth rates of all but the largest, publicly-traded firms.

1. Don’t try to do it all yourself. It is instinctive that women often try to do it all themselves.
