As of 2012, there were least 8.3 million businesses owned by women in the US, generating revenue of close to $1.3 trillion dollars.

There is good news about women-owned businesses: American Express OPEN commissioned the second annual State of Women-Owned Businesses Report. - Don’t try to do it all yourself. It is instinctive that women often try to do it all themselves. That might work in the context of your home, but in a business, it isn’t the best approach to success. Delegate work. See yourself as the CEO – not someone who can do it all or who must walk behind picking up the pieces.
- If money is keeping you from completing projects that fit with your mission and business goals, find financing to make the projects happen. Do not allow money to stop you from carrying projects out.
- Stay on track. We are a social world today. How better to hold yourself accountable to your goals than to connect with another person who can help hold your toes to the fire, celebrate the successes and brainstorm new ideas?
