Tires Slashed; Knife Used in Tenant Fight| Mount Kisco Police Blotter

MOUNT KISCO, NY — Here are some of the incidents to which Westchester County Police responded in the past week.

Friday, Sept. 22 – 10:46 a.m. – A woman came to the Westchester County Police precinct on Green
Street to request assistance in serving legal paperwork to her ex-husband at his place of employment in
the village. The man was not at work and the documents could not be served.
12:31 a.m. – Patrol officers conducting an inspection at an auto dealership on Kisco Avenue observed
four car jacks next to a vehicle on the property. A search of the area turned up no signs of intruders or
suspicious activity. It was subsequently determined that an employee had inadvertently left the jacks
outside when the business closed for the day.


Thursday, Sept. 21 – 4:39 p.m. – A business in the 200 block of North Bedford Road reported to
Westchester County Police that a car without license plates has been parked in its lot for two weeks. The
vehicle was towed from the scene at the property owner’s request.
3:25 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Croton Avenue on a report than an 82-year- old
man was suffering chest pains. The Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance also responded and transported
the man to Northern Westchester Hospital Center.
3:53 p.m. – A resident of East Way reported that a window on his home was shattered while he was out.
It appears that a rock may have been propelled through the window inadvertently by a lawn mower that
was used on a neighbor’s property a short time earlier.

Tuesday, Sept. 19 – 1 a.m. -- Carlos Ramirez-Perez, 43, of 52 Gregory Avenue was arrested by patrol
officers after he allegedly brandished a large knife at fellow tenants at his Gregory Avenue residence. He
was charged with Assault 2 nd Degree, a felony, and Menacing, a misdemeanor.
Westchester County Police received a 911 call from residents reporting that a fellow tenant had
accosted them with a knife following an argument. One of the victims said the man lunged at him with
the knife, making contact with his clothing but not cutting or injuring him.
Ramriez-Perez was arrested after he was found hiding in a small room in the basement. The knife was
recovered.

2:43 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a business in the 200 block of North Bedford Road on an activated burglar alarm. The premises were secure and the alarm apparently sounded in error.

4 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to the BMW dealership on Kisco Avenue after a man was
observed on the property. The man fled into a wooded area before officers arrived and could not be
located. Eighteen tires were found slashed on the lot. An investigation is continuing.
