Twigs Teams Up With Chappaqua Merchants
Beginning this Sunday, and going until Dec. 4, 10-percent off purchases at some Chappaqua stores will be converted into 10-percent donations to the thrift store.

Small Business Saturday may be over, but several stores in Chappaqua will be offering a new event this week.
Beginning today and going until Dec. 4, participating merchants will be partnering with to raise money for the Mount Kisco-based shop, which in turn provideds services to Northern Westchester Hospital.
The businesses - , , and - will provide discounts of 10 percent on items. In exchange, they will make a 10-percent donation to Twigs.

"I think this is great for everyone involved," said Judy McGrath, a Chappaqua resident who is also Twigs' board president.
This is the second year the initiative is being done. It was launched last year by Family Britches owner Barry Mishkin, whose store was the first participant.

"We're very happy to support a great local organization and hope that our joint efforts will bring a nice donation towards their cause," said Mishkin.
Fellow merchants also feel that it's a good cause.
