WATCH: Chappaqua School District Counts Votes

The new coronavirus pandemic forced this year's absentee-ballot-only vote.

NEW CASTLE, NY — Chappaqua school officials will begin counting ballots in the district budget and school board vote at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

District administrators have provided several ways to follow along online or by phone.

Board of Education

There are five candidates running for two seats on the Board of Education: School trustees serve three year terms and are unpaid.

School budget

  • Proposed for 2020-21: $128,237,168
  • Increase over current spending: 1.65 percent
  • Tax levy increase: 1.49 percent

Library Budget

  • Proposed: $3,314,162
  • Tax levy: 4.38 percent
