
In heading to the A&P shopping plaza in Millwood, perhaps you have noticed a small, empty booth that sits in the middle of the parking lot.
Its former purpose is unclear, although it is available for rent.
The booth is small, so conventional retail or food uses may be tricky. Then again, with recent news reports about New York City being interested in changing zoning to permit "micro apartments," perhaps it would take New Castle town officials doing likewise for a larger store.

Still, the booth's location and size make for intriguing uses. Maybe a soup stand (think opening a sattelite spot) or a seasonal frozen yogurt booth ("froyo" is getting more popular in Westchester, as evidenced by of ).
Alternatively, the booth could serve as an info stand for the town or hamlet. A similar structure exists up in Cold Spring, for example, near that village's train station.
