WHEELABRATOR WESTCHESTER AND BRIDGEPORT FACILITIES' ANNUAL CHARITY SOFTBALL GAME RAISES OVER $5,900 FOR LOCAL RESIDENT IN NEED

Wheelabrator Westchester and Bridgeport employees present Brittany DiDonato with their donation at their recent charity softball game.

Wheelabrator Westchester and Wheelabrator Bridgeport employees held their annual charity softball game at Lent’s Cove Field in Cortlandt, New York on Friday, September 12. The event raised over $5,900 to support Brittany DiDonato, a 25-year-old Panas High School graduate and Continental Village resident recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of liver cancer. Wheelabrator made the donation to Brittany through the KFM Foundation, part of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

The friendly competition drew over 90 Wheelabrator employees, friends and family from the Peekskill, New York and Bridgeport, Connecticut waste-to-energy plants.

“This event is all about creating camaraderie for a cause,” said Brett Baker, plant manager, Wheelabrator Westchester. “We are honored to bring the Westchester and Bridgeport teams together to support our neighbor, Brittany DiDonato, and her family.”
