Wild Swings Continue: Weekend Weather

Freezing rain tonight, then temps could rise into the 50s in Mount Kisco and Chappaqua by Sunday.

Friday and Saturday temperatures in the daytime will be in the low 40s. By Sunday, look for low to mid-50s.

Not that it’ll be nice to be outside: look for rain to go from scattered drizzle to downpour through the weekend.

Tonight, freezing drizzle with a slight chance of light freezing rain in the evening...then a chance of light rain...snow...sleet with possible drizzle...freezing drizzle and freezing rain after midnight, says the National Weather Service.

“Saturday night – Sunday AM, soaking rain is likely. Temps will be too warm for snow or ice,” says Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

But your furnace will have to crank back up soon.

According to AccuWeather Chief Long Range Meteorologist Paul Pastelok, “Blasts of cold air will sweep in over much of the Central and Eastern states next week.”

The pattern of cold air coming and going will continue be a theme for January.
