UPDATE: Yorktown Cops Arrest 2 Mahopac Men on Drug Charges
Heroin and heroin residue were found during a car stop Jan. 8.

Yorktown police charged one Mahopac man with felony drug possession and another with misdemeanor drug possession and a traffic infraction.
Police had gotten a call about drug activity and did a traffic stop on Route 6 at 8:10 p.m. Jan. 8 of a car that they said failed to maintain its proper lane.
The driver, Chad E. Young, 31, of 11 Penelope Court, had 37 glassine envelopes containing heroin residue, police said.

Stephen Blumenstetter, 29, of 310 Buckshollow Road, had 15.2 grams of heroin, police said.
Blumenstetter was sent to the Westchester County Jail and was due back in court Jan. 12. Young was released and is due back in court in February.
