Person Hit By Path Train In Chelsea, MTA Says

A person was struck by a train at the Sixth Avenue and 14th Street station Wednesday morning, the FDNY said.

CHELSEA, NY — A person was struck by a PATH train at a Chelsea station Wednesday morning, according to the MTA.

The person was struck at 517 Avenue of the America’s at the station's West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue stop some time before 9:26 a.m., an FDNY spokesperson said.

Video taken nearby shows FDNY firetrucks arrived outside the station about 9:35 a.m., according to Citizen.

The station serves the Hoboken and Journal Square 33rd Street lines from New Jersey, according to the MTA.

The victim was sent to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue with trauma to the body, according to the FDNY.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey did not respond to Patch's requests for comment.
