Commack residents will head to the polls on Tuesday to cast their ballots on a proposed 2015-16 school budget and for school board candidates.
The proposed $185.12 million budget represents a 1.03 percent spending increase over the current year and it includes a 0.95 percent hike in the school tax levy, within the district’s state tax cap.
In addition to the proposed budget, there are two candidates running for one open seat on the Commack Board of Education. Jarrett Behar and William Marchesi are facing off for the seat being vacated by Deborah Guber, who is not running for re-election.
