Man Arrested After Burglarizing Commack Bagel Store: Police
The burglar fled the scene on a bicycle Monday morning, police say.

COMMACK, NY- A Lake Ronkonkoma man was arrested after he burglarized a Commack bagel store Monday morning, police said.
According to police, 51-year-old Mathew McCauley burglarized Mayfair Bagels, located at 10 Jericho Turnpike, around 4:45 a.m. Fourth Precinct officers responded to an automatic alarm at the business and located McCauley, who fled the scene on a bicycle, in the area a short time later, police said.
McCauley, of 19 Adrian Lane, was charged with third degree burglary and a parole violation. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday in First District Court in Central Islip.

Fourth Squad detectives are investigating McCauley’s possible involvement in other recent burglaries in the Commack area, police said.
