Metro NY Relay for Life 5K Purple Run/Walk

Calling all Relayers, runners, walkers, and everyone in between! On Saturday, October 3rd, ACS’s Metro NY Relay for Life will proudly host its First Annual 5K Purple Run/Walk at 9:00 am to kick off the 2016 Relay for Life Season. A free Kid’s Fun Run will be held at 8:30 am. This run will be officially timed by Just finish (www.justfinish.net).

Location: Beautiful Heckscher State Park, 1 Heckscher State Parkway, East Islip, NY

Prizes will be given for times by age category as well as Top Fundraisers

The goal of the Relay for Life 5K Purple Run/Walk is to unite all Relays across the Metro New York area. We are all in this battle together and are stronger if we work as one! There is a $25 registration fee, which can go to your Relay event or your team! Anyone who doesn’t have a team can just pick a Relay or make a general Relay donation. There is no registration fee required for the Kids Fun Run.

The ACS Relay for Life is committed to helping people get well, stay well, find cures, and fight back against cancer. The ACS is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

There is an $8 parking fee for all attendees entering after 9:00 am
