We'll start the evening with my usual Wind Down Wednesday yoga class, but this time we're adding an ABBA-themed playlist to get us into the Mamma Mia! spirit. Expect an easygoing, feel-good practice designed to help you move, stretch, unwind and have a little fun. And yes, you are absolutely allowed to sing along. 💃 Regular class pricing/registration applies for the 7 PM yoga class.

After yoga, stick around (or join us at 8:15 ) to learn all about the upcoming Yoga with Cyndy "Here We Flow Again" Skopelos, Greece Retreat, happening May 29–June 4, 2027. If you've been looking at the retreat and thinking, "This looks amazing, but I have questions," this night is for you.

Long Island historian Robert von Bernewitz will give a talk about the various historic cemeteries, types of burial sites and noteworthy people that are buried on Long Island. Come find out where Mae West, Jackie Robinson, Jackson Pollock, William Sydney Mount and Teddy Roosevelt are laid to rest. You will learn that the oldest burial ground in New York State is on Long Island. It has the largest cemetery in the country as well. Local Huntington area gravesites will be included. You will learn a lot of interesting facts about Long Island during this presentation. Registration is required.

As we begin to approach the Thanksgiving holiday season, I’m reaching out to you not only as a colleague, but as President of Islip Food for Hope and as someone who believes deeply in the power of our community taking care of one another.
This Thanksgiving, our goal is to make sure 1,300 local families can sit down together and enjoy a warm, traditional Thanksgiving dinner through our Boxes of Love program.
For many of us, Thanksgiving means gathering around a table filled with food, family, laughter, and traditions. But for far too many families in our community, putting that meal on the table is a real struggle. Food insecurity continues to impact more of our neighbors, seniors, and families than many of us realize.
That’s why this work means so much to me.
One of our favorite annual fundraisers is coming up at the Harp &amp; Hound in Islip. It’s always a great day filled with football, great food, tons of raffles, friends, and, of course, our famous Stop the Clock Drawing!
There is no admission fee. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at your own expense, so come down, spend the day with us, watch some football, and most importantly, help us help others.
We currently have just 150 Stop the Clock tickets left to sell, and I would love the support of my colleagues in helping us sell every last one.

Every ticket we sell brings us one step closer to filling another Box of Love and putting a Thanksgiving dinner on another family's table.
I have always believed that when our community comes together, there is very little we cannot accomplish. 1,300 families is an ambitious goal, but behind every one of those boxes is a family who deserves to know that their community cares about them.
