Car Slams Into West Babylon Home After Driver Suffers Medical Emergency: Police

A man was seriously injured after crashing his car into a home on 17th Street; 3 people inside were not hurt, police say.

WEST BABYLON, NY — A man suffered what appeared to be a medical emergency before crashing his vehicle into a West Babylon home Thursday morning, police said.

The incident happened at around 10:40 a.m. on March 19, when the driver of a 2011 Toyota struck a house located at 404 17th St., according to Suffolk County police.

Police said the driver experienced a medical episode prior to the crash. He was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries.

Three people inside the home at the time of the crash were not injured, police said.
