Copiague Bar Shut Down After 15 Code Violations: Police
During an inspection, 6 people were arrested including a bartender and 5 patrons who were in possession of drugs or weapons, police say.

COPIAGUE, NY - A Copiague bar was shut down for 15 code violations and 6 people were arrested during an inspection on Saturday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Officials conducted a State Liquor Authority Inspection at Signal 8 Saloon on 80 F Montauk Highway at about 11:35 p.m.
According to police, officers arrested the following 6 people during the inspection:

- Lisa Palmgren, 48, of West Islip, (bartender) was charged with disorderly premise and selling to a visibly intoxicated person
- Rolando Guzman II, 38, of Copiague, (patron at bar) was charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon (loaded firearm), fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon (metal knuckles) and third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (intent to sell cocaine)
- Ginna Amendola, 31, of Bethpage, (patron at bar) was charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon (gravity knife)
- Martin Bassett 48, of Copiague, (patron at bar) was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Rodger McGrady, 54, of Copiague, (patron at bar) was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Jeff Gottlieb, 29, of Massapequa, (patron at bar) was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
The Town of Babylon Quality of Life Task Force issued 15 combined Building, Fire and Code Violations to the owner, police said.
As a result of the violations, the establishment was condemned and closed.
