First Graders Learn The Art Of Writing At May Moore

Deer Park first graders in Christine Garcett’s class at May Moore Primary School kicked off their writing workshop with a lesson on how to write a sentence. The class reviewed starting with a capital letter and ending with punctuation. Students also brainstormed some writing ideas. With teacher Danielle Finocchiaro pushing in for ENL, students started to write their own stories. Eventually, the first graders will use what they have learned to zoom in for small moment narrative stories.
