Gunman Robs Deer Park Gas Station

Police are investigating an armed robbery of a Deer Park gas station that occurred on Friday night.

According to police, a man entered American Gas located at 380 Commack Road, near Grand Boulevard, at about 9:20 p.m., displayed what appeared to be a gun and demanded money.

An employee complied with the robber’s demand and the man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes, police said.

Deer Park residents living nearby reported an intense police search for the robber, with officers checking backyards in the area. However, no arrests have been made as First Squad detectives continue to investigate.
