Cops: Man Shoots Cash Register During Baldwin Robbery
Incident happened Thursday morning, police said.

A man fired two shots but struck no one during a robbery at a Baldwin convenience store Thursday morning, according to Nassau County Police.
At 6:15 a.m., an unknown man entered 7-Eleven on Grand Avenue with a gun and fired a round into the ceiling, police said. He then demanded the cashier open a register, which the subject emptied, cops said.

The man turned to a second register and attempted to open it, police said. When the register wouldn’t open, he shot at it and fled the scene, cops said.

The man was wearing a gray pullover, black knit hat, brown boots, and a light colored scarf at the time of the robbery, cops said.
