Police Seeking Man Who Broke Into Deer Park Restaurant

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the man pictured above who they say broke into a Chinese restaurant in Deer Park in July.

On July 23, at about 1:30 a.m., police say the man shattered the front glass door and entered the New Fortune House Chinese Restaurant, located at 187 Bay Shore Road. He removed the cash register drawer and fled, police said.

The man was wearing light-colored clothes and dark-colored shoes and possibly work boots at the time of the burglary, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
