The season of Lent - the traditional period of penance and self reflection begins today - with Ash Wednesday.

Ash Wednesday is celebrated with services in which the faithful are marked with an ash cross on the forehead.

The season of Lent ends with Good Friday and Easter.

Here is the St. Cyril & Methodius mass schedule, according to its website: 7 a.m.; 8:30 a.m.; 12:15 p.m. (followed by confessions) and 7:30 p.m. There are also Word Services scheduled for 3 p.m.; 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
