Stern, Monster Mini-Golf to Host Party for Military Children

Suffolk County Legis. Steve Stern, D-Huntington, Chairman of the Veterans and Seniors Committee, is hosting a free event for children of active-duty military personnel, National Guard and reservists on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 10 a.m.- noon.

April is the “Month of the Military Child,” recognizing the sacrifices made by the children of the brave men and women serving our great nation.  John Nicolette and Steve Gambolini, owners of Monster Mini-Golf in Deer Park, have graciously donated the use of their fantastic facility to host this event. 

“As Chairman of the Veterans and Seniors Committee, I have the great honor to work with and for our military members and their families and am acutely aware of the immense sacrifices they make on a daily basis,” Stern said.  “It is vitally important to support these families and especially their children, not just with words, but with action.  I am pleased to host this party for the children and their families as a way to give back and let them know we are here for them.  I would also like to thank John and Steve for their incredible generosity and dedication to our servicemen and women and their families.”
